Recently (May and June 2014) we have made some major changes and consequently The Shadows is a very different and much improved UO experience than when first launched.
We have changed the way new players enter the shard. They now have a new start area, new player quests, and all kinds of cool things. If you click on the New Player Guide Tab on our website you will be able to read about a lot of these changes.
In The Shadows you will find:
- Mature friendly staff with over 15 yrs. experience on OSI and various custom shards
- A skills training area for yourself and your pets
- PvP rule set in Felucca only, with reds allowed to travel all facets but only pvp/pk in Felucca
-Over 40 quests to keep you busy, daily events of all kinds, a great website that is updated constantly, a calendar that shows you when events will be held and what they are. TONS AND TONS of custom mobs in hidden locations.
-Skill gains are fast and yes we have some uber gear but the mobs are a challenge and not easy to tank at all.
-We are adding new things all the time for your gaming enjoyment. Our goal is to be all about the players. With out players we would not exist.
-We are professionally hosted, lag is usually never an issue. As of right now you can only be patched to 7.0.31.11 to play but we are working on that.
-We are not perfect by any means and are still working out some of the glitches and bugs. We have been public almost 2 months and our up time is about 98%. The longest we are down is for restarts which are now about once a week for 10 min. Gotta keep adding new and fun things for you all to do.
