Game screen stays black when connecting
There are many possibly reasons for not being able to connect, the if the game window stays black after the character creation (or after choosing a character from the list), the most probable reason is a not completly patched client.
Use the OSI-Autopatcher to patch your client to the most recent version. If the patcher finds an error, you are probably using modified client files and will have to install UO again. If your client is to old, you can also try to download and install the latest one from http://uo.com/uoml/ and patch then.
