Overly simplistic map


Here's a thought.
Start you a complete blank map with only water.
Add areas designated as communities.
Area 1 is a huge city island with every posiible vendor in thier own little stall.
Make roads going north south east and west. Nice geometry. Guarded too and no building.

Area 2 is a huge island of forests
Area 3 is a huge island of mountains and caves
Area 4 is an outter ring where all above ground creatures spawn along with entrances to the various dungeons and thier respective dungeon spawns.
Area 5 is an inner ring of flat land for players to build on.

Connect both rings and all islands with public moongates and teleporters.

Would make deciding what to spawn where easier along with a few other issues plaquing beginner freeshard owners I think.
