You may have noticed during the backup last night I took the chance to move RunUO.com to our new location. RunUO is now running out of the Amazon cloud!

Thanks for your patience!

Crap.. now when Reddit goes down, so will RunUO lol.

Kidding aside, I like Amazon cloud. Should be a good place for the website. :)

Agreed.

We're using it at my day job for millions of dollars in infrastructure... I'm a fan.

Its a little slower for me as well, but it probably just needs time to "settle in". Remember, he just shoved the entire forums up a clouds backside... :D

It is a little slower right now, I'll work through instance sizing as we go :)

Hey, after this move I can't seem to upload any zip files when I try to update a resource, the error is:
undefined
<file name here>

For some reason the forums are faster for me now, in the past I would have a delay going
from post to post waiting for the page to load.. browser explorer though :/

Site does seem to load faster for me, but I didn't notice the difference until I started posting replies.

Not that this is an issue, but I'm curious...
Why doesn't http://runuo.com forward to http://www.runuo.com ?
Login authentication cookies are pretty strict here, when logged in under www, the login is not persistent when logging in without www.

It should be...

Code:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^runuo\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.runuo.com/$1 [R=permanent,L]

Thanks,
Ryan

Always wondered how a forum would run in a true cloud service.
It's super fast on IE, but forum is slow in firefox, but I think that was a firefox issue from memory
