Doesnt get past Verifying Account

I have a buncha lients everywhere the client its self is on the desktop not a shorcut i have also used one straight from the uo directory and i have used uogateway and i also tried that Serverlist deal nothing works

1. Install Ultima Online and patch to the latest version of Ultima Online.
2. Install UO Gateway ( www.uogateway.com ).
3. Download RunUO Beta 4 - ( www.runuo.com/files/ ). (See Appendix B for .NET Framework)
4. Extract RunUO Beta 4 to c:\runuo
5. Open up explorer and go to the RunUO directory.
6. Double Click on RunUO.exe
7. Minimize the RunUO application.
8. Load UO Gateway ( Start->Programs->UO Gateway->UOGateway ).
9. Go to the My Servers Box.
10. Create a custom server entry by clicking [Custom Shard] (upper right).
11. Set the info as you desire, but make the IP 127.0.0.1 and non-crypt
12. Click Save Settings.
13. Click your newly created entry to launch it.
14. Log in.
15. Have fun.

Appendix A:

1. Download UseUO GM Tool ( www.runuo.com/useuo/ ).
2. Install UseUO GM Tool.
3. Run UseUO GM Tool ( Start->Programs->UseUO->UseUO ).
4. Use UseUO to make your life easier.
5. Post a thank you on the UseUO forums

Appendix B
1. Download the .NET framework from runuo.com
2. Install the .NET framework
3. Reboot

I used UOriced clients and i used UO gateway too
and theres no other errors or anything in the console

im using normal client and uo gateway and haven't done anything to client exept updated it to newest version... in uo gateway can choose do you use encryption or not :twisted:

Alright, this may not be it but who knows. Recently (in Beta 4), I've been getting prompted for my UO dir.. this didnt happen in Beta 3. Anyway, the runuo.exe will not do anything until you enter the root dir of UO. I would log with a non-encrypted client and get just past the char select screen, then the prompt would come:

Now if I didn't enter the UO dir and tried to move in the game it would freeze up. I'd just enter the directory and it would work as expected. I've tried some other clients as well, and this is what your problem sounds like. One of the clients stopped at "Verifying Password" and prompted for the UO dir. However once I entered the dir I got:

I'm suspecting the client is no good or just doesn't work with RunUO.. *pant* ^^. sooo.. just check your runuo.exe window and see if it is prompting you for the UO directory. good day ><

DOH

It does that because you are usin an encrypted client.

You have to use an unencrypted client, UORice will do the job nicely or Ignition etc.

ok that's really weird.. I was even running No_Crypt_Client.exe... I just uo riced it again and no more prompts >< Well thanks for pointing out my stupidity hehe (and for helping ^^)
