Well, no one else would help me with this so maybe you guys would. How can I setup some kind of remote access from any computer to view my HTML files. I have a website I want to put up but I don't want to pay or put it on a free host. Can I use my IP for it too?

you can run a webserver such as apache http://httpd.apache.org/

its pretty easy to setup, just requires reading...

and you can register for a dyndns type thing like http://www.dyndns.org to get a dynamic hostname to make it look better, instead of 12.3.4.5 it would be like mywebsite.ath.cx

hope that helps

Xp comes with its own iis thingy, goto admin tools from control panel and look at it. or go start/run "mmc" and snap one in.

If you Have windows XP you can Use IIS But you have to install it off the XP cd first. (Control pannel--> add remove programs--> windows Components--> IIS) IIS also needs to be patched daily and you need a good virus scanner. it supports a lot of users and is easy to config.

There is Apache (one of the Best But takes some work to configure it)
http://www.apache.org

Xitami is good for smaller sites After about 5k hits this server shuts down.

Another server is 602pro Works well for small sites also includes a proxy server.
